Steamboat Springs Winter Carnival, the oldest in the country, dates back to 1913. A community event, the carnival brings skiers and ranchers together for some riding, roping and skiing. Her a local youngster tries his luck at the ski joring, a street event where rider on horseback pulls a skier over a jump.
