Mad Creek Guest Ranch Lodge c. 1934 Mad Creek Ranch lodge with mountains behind. The George Ives family built and owned the guest ranch which operated around the 1920s and '40s near Mad Creek. The Ranch offered fishing and horseback trail rides and approximately 4 small guest cabins along the creek (some remains of the small cabins can still be seen today). The lodge burned down and nothing remains today. The Heintze family, who homesteaded and ran a ranch nearby also managed the guest ranch for Ives. Today the land is owned by the U.S. Forest Service.
