Evelyn Ellis was born to Callie Kitchens Ellis and William Ellisin Wolcott in 1902. She was an exceptional horsewoman, ranch hand, and breeder.Together with her first husband Laurence Peavy, she opened a successful cattle ranch in Deep Creek.After Peavy dies, Evelyn continued ranching the same land with her husband Quentin Semotan.
